Motion Graphics and Video Editing

Lider Electric is an offshoot of Topgreener where I also did some videos for, using Adobe After. They were heavier on the editing end, where I cut together existing footage that was recorded by other members of the team or were outsourced. I also try to time the selected audio to the footage onscreen.

Product Showcase 2024

Late 2023, I was tasked with laying out the first catalog for Lider Electric. I used image assets from Adobe Stock, and images created in-house by members of the design team, including me. The owner of the company had a specific vision, and it had to be “high-end”. The final product is what we ended with after many revisions and aesthetic styles.

Outlined below are selected spreads from the catalog, offering a sneak peek into its overall design. For a more immersive experience, the complete catalog is available for download.

TikTok Videos and Memes

I worked on a few of videos and memes for TikTok focusing on promoting products and current promotions. Below are a few of my favorites. Some required a little bit more editing on After Effects than others, but for the most part, they were done using meme templates on CapCut.

2022 Product Showcase

In late 2021, I undertook the responsibility of crafting a catalog for Topgreener. While the graphic design team collaborated on enhancing product images and photographs, my primary role involved meticulously laying out the entire catalog. With the collective efforts of my colleagues, we present the finalized result of this collaborative project. Adobe InDesign served as the instrumental tool for seamlessly arranging and presenting the catalog.

Outlined below are samples of select spreads from the catalog, offering a sneak peek into its overall design. For a more immersive experience, the complete catalog is available for download.

Social Media

Topgreener’s social media images consist of lifestyle images, which depicted their products in use. Most of these images are composed of image assets from Adobe Stock, and then using Photoshop, the products would be superimposed into the scene to show them in use. Here are samples of the images I created and were used for their Instagram account.

TikTok Videos and Memes

I worked on a few of videos and memes for TikTok focusing on promoting products and DIY humor. Below are a few of my favorites. Most were done using meme templates on CapCut.

Interactive Virtual Apartment

This project was drafted on SketchUp with an apartment layout based on an actual apartment I recreated. I modeled the apartment itself, including, walls, floors and ceilings. As a Topgreener project, I made all the devices and wiring using a combination of assets from Sketchup’s 3D Warehouse and modelling devices to the specifications of actual existing products. The furniture are all from the 3D Warehouse, but meticulously placed into the layout of the apartment including a lot of Easter Eggs.

MOVEMENT: Arrow Keys goes through each slide.

LOOK: Left click on the mouse to hold and drag.

ZOOM: Use scroll wheel to zoom in and out.

NOTE: The original version of the 360° virtual tour used to have hotspots near the products (for details and videos) and on the floor (for immersive movement), but the company no longer subscribes to Kuula’s (virtual tour hosting site) premium services so all the premium features, which included hotspots, are no longer available.

Below are some images of the product models I drafted on SketchUp.

Motion Graphics and Video Editing

As an employee of Topgreener we also did work for our sister company, Enerlites, where I also did a little bit of motion graphics and video editing, using Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere Pro.

Sticker Design

From the inception of 2023 through mid-July, Enerlites underwent a transformative rebranding journey. Shedding the vibrant red hues, the brand embraced a more sophisticated palette, featuring an elegant shade of purple accompanied by a modernized logo. This refreshed aesthetic not only reflected a new identity but also served as the canvas for a creative marketing approach.

To infuse a sense of playfulness into the brand, stickers became a dynamic tool for promotion aimed to showcase the more lighthearted side of Enerlites. The primary audience targeted for this quirky giveaway included electricians and contractors deeply involved in the realms of wiring and lighting.

Within the graphic design team, each member contributed their unique flair to the sticker designs. Out of the seven finalized designs, three were crafted by me. All three stickers were designed using Adobe Illustrator in 2023.

Altech Ultron Outline_PANTONE-07_s

2018 Product Catalog

Upon joining Altech Electronics, I assumed the sole role of graphic designer and embarked on the vital task of modernizing the product catalog. The existing catalog, previously crafted by a contractor, had become outdated by a year or two. Armed with the company’s logo as the primary visual reference, I utilized its colors and the distinctive “A” as my creative launching pad. To bring this vision to life, I used Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign in crafting the updated catalog.

Highlighted below are glimpses of several catalog spreads, offering a taste of the comprehensive redesign. For a more immersive experience, the complete catalog is available for download.

Cut Sheets

As a manufacturer specializing in LED lighting fixtures tailored for commercial and industrial settings, Altech maintained an extensive repository of technical data for each model. All pertinent details that potential buyers require about each product can be easily accessed in their corresponding cut sheets. These sheets encompass crucial information such as product and electrical specifications, certifications, compliance details, installation instructions, and warranty information.

I took the initiative to revamp these cut sheets, infusing them with vibrant colors and incorporating elements inspired by Altech’s distinctive logo. Not only did I enhance the aesthetic appeal, but I also expanded the content to provide even more comprehensive information than the original versions. In some instances, these redesigned cut sheets now span multiple pages to accommodate the enriched content.

In addition to the standard cut sheets that cater to a broader audience, I took the initiative to design an alternative version specifically tailored for contractors, engineers, and installers. This specialized version places a heightened emphasis on technical details, providing the essential information required for the safe and precise installation of our products. To complement this technical focus, I created detailed technical illustrations using Adobe Illustrator. These custom illustrations further enhance the clarity of the information presented, ensuring that professionals have a comprehensive and visually accessible guide for the installation process. By streamlining cosmetic information and prioritizing technical specifications, these alternate cut sheets, along with the accompanying technical illustrations, serve as a valuable resource for professionals who prioritize functionality and adherence to installation standards.

Video Loop for Lightfair 2018

This video loop was made for a monitor that Altech Electronics had at Lightfair 2018 at their booth. Note: no audio.

Case Studies

I created a simple and eye-catching layout for Altech Electronics’ case studies. The design combines text and images in a clear way, emphasizing important information about each project. The goal is to show the difference in lighting and annual savings before and after Altech Electronics’ involvement.

Iconography

These icons were crafted for Altech Electronics’ case studies, each representing a specific commercial or industrial category featured in the study. They serve as visual identifiers, quickly conveying the industry or theme covered in each case study, contributing to a visual narrative.

Packaging

Altech’s original packaging we just to use plain boxes with checkboxes to mark the features of the product inside. I used the same approach with the checkboxes, but used the identity I’ve been using at Altech since I’ve joined the team.
